Chamber Street

The building in question is a landmark structure that is over 200 years old. To help our client align with current market trends, we assisted in preparing the shell structure. The original space had a 14-inch step from the indoor area to the outdoor area, which created an inefficient traffic flow for tenants. We developed an efficient floor system that lowered the entire existing floor elevation, eliminating the step and creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. This floor system spans 25 feet with a structural depth of only 9 inches, and without any columns in the middle of the bay. This design maximized the ceiling height and created a column-free space for the cellar below.
