Cornell University

XCE utilized their extensive experience in forensic engineering to investigate and evaluate the solar PV panel supporting structures at the Cornell University. The scope of work included conducting a comprehensive site investigation, reviewing existing design documents, and evaluating loads based on current and prior codes. XCE also independently designed and analyzed framing support, compared their designs to the original ones, and provided expert guidance for the structural retrofit and reinforcement. Throughout the project, XCE made periodic site visits and oversaw construction administration for repair work. XCE was able to identify potential areas for improvement and provide effective solutions to enhance the structural integrity of the solar PV panel supporting structures.
