Located on the stunning coast of the Atlantic Ocean, the expansion of this property amplifies the luxury experience with breathtaking natural lighting and ocean views. XCE was entrusted with the structural engineering design of the house. The team designed a robust wood structure capable of withstanding the powerful winds commonly experienced in this coastal area. The design of large windows and wall openings, coupled with long cantilever spans, presented unique challenges for the structural design of this hurricane-prone region. Despite these challenges, XCE's innovative design solution resulted in a safe and structurally sound house that seamlessly integrates the beauty of its surroundings.
